Wirral Hospital Trust.                                                                           Currently in progress-                                                                                 A Research project to evaluate alternative educational strategies for training multidisciplinary teams to deal with Obstetric emergencies.                                The research will assess the benefits of utilizing Advanced Human Patient simulation technology as an educational tool to improve the clinical outcome of obstetric emergencies.

Study comparing training outcome from using:
(1) Screen-based simulation (SBS) and part-task trainers,
(2) Some SBS and whole body manikins, and
(3) Some SBS and full-mission simulation
Sample: Interns and residents (n=63)
Duration: 2 years
Status: Completed, report sent to funder and paper submitted to SESAM 2005
